Key Duties & Responsibilities

The Technical Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring that every element of the project is
well-documented, well-communicated, and well-structured
. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Documentation Mastery
• Create comprehensive technical and process documentation that adheres to established standards.
• Ensure consistency across documents, whether they relate to business processes, system functionality, or technical requirements.
• Requirement Translation
• Capture and translate stakeholder discussions, workshops, and high-level briefs into
  clear, actionable requirements
  .
• Develop artefacts that guide both business users and technical teams toward shared understanding.
• Proof of Concept (POC) and Pilot Support
• Prepare POC and Pilot documentation, including scope, objectives, evaluation criteria, and technical requirements.
• Support project teams in testing feasibility and validating approaches before broader rollout.
• Tender Pack Development
• Prepare RFQ and tender documentation with detailed functional and technical requirements.
• Develop supporting artefacts such as architecture diagrams, current/future state documentation, and data flow maps.
• Assist in vendor Q&A processes and support the evaluation of vendor responses.
• Gap Analysis and Solution Mapping
• Conduct structured gap analyses of current systems, processes, and data flows.
• Document future-state designs, highlighting improvements, integrations, and efficiencies.
• Pay particular attention to ETL processes, API integration, and cloud adoption.
• Rollout Readiness & Transition Planning
• Support implementation phases with transition and rollout documentation.
• Develop handover artefacts and migration plans to ensure a smooth shift from project to operations.
• Visual Communication
• Create high-quality process maps, swim-lane diagrams, data flow diagrams, and integration specifications.
• Use industry-standard tools such as
  Visio and Confluence
  to bring clarity to complex systems and data flows.

Essential Criteria

We are seeking candidates who meet the following requirements:

1. 
   Strong expertise in technical documentation and visualisation tools
   (e.g., Visio, Confluence).

2. Ability to produce diagrams, flows, and maps that clearly articulate system interactions and business processes.

3. 
   Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst
   , with a specific focus on technical documentation.

4. Proven record of capturing requirements accurately and translating them into structured artefacts.

5. 
   Familiarity with data and analytics concepts
   , including Data Lakes, Reporting tools, ETL processes, APIs, metadata management, and cloud-based platforms.

6. Ability to understand data integration points and articulate how systems connect in modern digital environments.

7. 
   Attention to detail and structured approach
   to work.

8. Comfortable operating as an
   individual contributor
   , capable of producing deliverables with minimal supervision.

9. Organised, methodical, and able to work across multiple streams simultaneously.
