The Role
Here at EBOS Group we have a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised Injury Management Advisor with excellent communication and high attention to detail to join the WHS team.
Working closely with and supporting the Injury Management & Return to Work (RTW) Manager, you will coordinate and advise business units on the workers' compensation claims process, ensuring timely processing, and provide technical advice, and return to work solutions for all businesses across the Group in Australia.
You will also proactively identify injury trends and solutions to increase compliance and reduce financial risk to the Group.
As such your ability to influence and build relationships coupled with analytical skills and ability to resolve problems will be critical to your success.
What you will do:
- Provide advice and guidance to functional heads, managers, supervisors and workers on workers compensation, injury or illness processes;
- Develop and monitor return to work programs in collaboration with relevant parties;
- Monitor claims expenses and liaise with key stakeholders as required;
- Educate & coach managers regarding their role and responsibilities in the injury management process;
- Maintain injury management data and registers for WHS reporting activities;
- Establish and attend periodic claim reviews with case managers, workers, treating medical practitioners and managers to ensure claims are managed appropriately;
- Actively supporting the Injury Management & RTW Manager by attending case conferences with GP's and other treating health professionals;
- Assist business unit managers, WHS and HR partner teams to provide guidance and advice in relation to the management of non-work-related injuries and medical conditions.
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years' experience within a national workers compensation role;
- Qualifications in Psychology, Injury Management, Return to Work or WHS essential;
- Experience in complex workers compensation management including premium placement, review and analysis;
- Broad knowledge and understanding of WHS and workers compensation (state based legislation and practical application);
- Demonstrated understanding of SIRA Guidelines, including all other state equivalents.
