We are seeking three (3) Injury Management Advisor to provide proficient expert advice and support to our operational and corporate client groups.  The role is responsible for end-to-end coordination of return-to-work practices to create a safe and sustainable return to work while meeting the organisation's needs.

These are Full Time, Permanent positions. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Doncaster HQ in line with our hybrid working model.

About the role

Reporting to the Lead Workforce Recovery and Transition, the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate the rehabilitation and return to work of injured employees following a workplace injury. This will be achieved with the support and guidance of others within AV and AV's partner organisations
  • Practically, this will include liaising with Workers, Treaters, AV's Worksafe Agent and Managers to develop return to work/rehabilitation programs to ensure a Safe and Sustainable Return to Work
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to the business on all workers' compensation and injury management including early intervention and stay at work initiatives
  • Provide education to management and staff to ensure they understand their rights and responsibilities in relation to workers' compensation and injury management
  • Coordinate the implementation of best practice workers' compensation and injury management strategies, initiatives and systems to continually improve current and future performance

About you

We are looking for a self-motivator with strong interpersonal skills. To be considered for this position you will possess:

  • Experience managing injuries and illnesses, conducting workplace assessments, providing advice and feedback on treatment, rehabilitation and return to work practises
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply workers' compensation legislative standards and guidelines as they apply to organisational claims management and rehabilitation initiatives (This could be within a Management role)
  • Existing knowledge of, or aptitude to learn, relevant ethical protocols, legal considerations, medical terminology and confidentiality in accordance with the provision of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 and the Freedom of Information Act 1982
