ABOUT YOU

Delta Group are seeking an experienced Earthmoving Workshop Mechanic.

As a Workshop Mechanic for Delta Group you will be working in a fully equipped workshop with overhead cranes and specialised tools and be required to service and maintain a variety of heavy plant and equipment as well as attachments for our multiple divisions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Perform routine maintenance on earthmoving equipment and attachments.
  • Minor and major repairs on earthmoving equipment and attachments.
  • Trouble shooting and fault repairs.
  • Be enthusiastic punctual and take pride in appearance and work.

To succeed in this role you will have a range of skills and attributes, including:

ESSENTIAL

  • Passion for people and their safety.
  • Permanent residency.
  • Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol test if required.
  • Valid Driver's Licence.
  • A trade qualification in heavy plant mechanics.
  • Experience with late model heavy plant, equipment and attachments.

DESIRABLE

  • Demonstrated communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Proven capacity to multi-task.
  • High level decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise and follow up.
