5AAB PTY LTD is seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. What We're Looking For:

  • Relevant trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic
  • Minimum years' experience working as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the heavy vehicle industry
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scheduled and preventative maintenance on diesel trucks, trailers, and other heavy equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across the fleet
  • Liaise with the Fleet Manager to prioritize and action repair requirements
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the highest safety and quality standards
  • Support the training and development of junior mechanics as required
  • Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  • Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
  • Demonstrated experience working on heavy diesel machinery
  • Experience working in Heavy Road Transport
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems
  • Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools as well as workshop equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Commitment to workplace safety
  • Computer and Digital Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications. Experience using tablets and similar devices for issuing reports and technical information to Head Office and the Operational Team on site.
