About the Team
You'll join our DevSecOps team—a collaborative, forward-thinking group driving secure software delivery across the enterprise. About the Role
We have multiple opportunities available across various levels within the DevSecOps stream. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you'll play a key role in embedding security into every phase of the software development lifecycle—designing secure CI/CD pipelines, implementing automated security tools, and supporting cloud-native infrastructure. Depending on your experience, you may lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and contribute to continuous improvement across enterprise systems. Your work will directly enhance operational resilience and support Consunet's growth in delivering secure, scalable solutions to clients across Australia and globally.

What You'll Do
We have opportunities across multiple roles and levels within the DevSecOps stream, offering opportunities to contribute and grow in a dynamic, security-focused environment. You will:
- Design, build, and manage secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines across the enterprise.
- Embed security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Deploy and maintain cloud-native, containerised infrastructure with a security-first mindset.
- Implement and manage automated security tools, monitoring systems, and compliance controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve system resilience.
- Lead or contribute to technical reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing across the team.
- Support incident response activities and drive continuous improvement in security practices.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that support Consunet's mission and global growth
What You'll Bring
We're looking for candidates across various levels within the DevSecOps stream who bring a mix of technical expertise, collaborative mindset, and a passion for secure innovation. You'll bring:
- Proven experience in DevSecOps, software engineering, or infrastructure roles with a strong focus on security.
- Hands-on skills in CI/CD pipeline design, cloud-native technologies, containerisation, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Familiarity with security tools such as SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanners, and intrusion detection systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- A growth mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning, mentoring others, and contributing to team development.
- Understanding of compliance requirements and secure development practices in regulated environments.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance (baseline or higher).
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience.
