About the role

Join the SPRINGWOOD News agency team as a casual Sales Assistant in our Northern/ Springwood store. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing retail business, where you'll provide outstanding customer service and contribute to the overall success of the store.

What you'll be doing

  • Greet and assist customers with professionalism and a friendly demeanour
  • Serving on lotto
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain store presentation standards by restocking shelves, tidying displays, and ensuring the store is clean and tidy
  • Provide recommendations and advice to customers on products and services
  • Handle cash and other payment methods with care and diligence
  • Support the store team with other tasks as required

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, having had lottery experience would be a great benefit, with a genuine passion for providing excellent customer experiences
  • A well groomed, enthusiastic, honest, reliable, and loyal employee
  • Willingness to work, and not be standing around chatting and socialising with family members and friends
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
  • Must be able to open and close shops
  • Must be used to fast pace and thinking outside the box. Problem solving skills.
  • A positive, friendly, and helpful attitude, is a definite must, with a willingness to learn and grow within the team
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including Saturdays if needed.
