Want to benefit Queensland communities? The time is now to experience the difference at the Department of the Premier and Cabinet. Get close to the issues that matter most and impact the bigger picture.
As Director, Economic Policy you will lead a small team of policy professionals in the development and implementation of integrated policies, legislation and programs for Queensland.
If this opportunity excites you and makes you want to build new skills and expertise, feel real visibility and ownership, and truly bring the bigger picture to life, we want to hear from you.
For 165 years, the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) has been building the foundations of Queensland. Responding to the issues of today while ensuring stability and growth for the future.
As part of a central agency, you will work in partnership with our stakeholders across government to deliver best practice policy advice to the Premier, Cabinet, Cabinet Budget Review Committee and various other Cabinet Committees.
How you'll contribute:
As Director, Economic Policy you will get the opportunity to lead and manage a policy team to ensure the delivery of major policy initiatives.
What you'll bring to the role:
You'll draw on your good working knowledge of Cabinet processes, understanding of policy and/or legislative frameworks and ability to communicate at all levels to manage complex issues and provide strategic advice to support the development of longer-term policy directions for government consideration. A relevant tertiary qualification in public policy, law or a related field would be highly regarded.
Why join us?
At DPC, you'll be part of a team that leads and connects the public sector, delivering outstanding advice and services that impact Queensland's future. It's in your hands.
How to apply:
To apply, please provide a tailored resume and one page cover letter which highlights your work experience relevant to the responsibilities outlined in the Role Description.
Further information on the responsibilities of the role is found in the role description. You are strongly encouraged to review the applicant guide prior to applying.
