This is a permanent full-time position commencing January 2026
The Standards and Integrity Directorate promotes a culture of integrity across the organisation by delivering education, training and support that promotes high standards of conduct amongst staff and focuses on resolving complaints effectively, maintaining child safety, and reducing serious misconduct risk associated with fraud and corruption.

Our Directorate is responsible for the assessment and management of complaints, reviews into child deaths and critical incidents as well as monitoring working with children check compliance. We also investigate allegations of staff conduct in accordance with the Public Sector Management Act 1994, and with reference to the Department's Code of Conduct, policy framework, and formal instructions from the Public Sector Commissioner.

The Role
The Assessment Support Officer provides effective and responsive support to the Assessment Team including case management, research, administrative functions and record management relating to complaints and allegations of breaches of discipline, misconduct and corruption. In addition, this role assists in planning, and preparing reports, support materials and monitoring systems in accordance with Departmental, policies, standards and guidelines.

As the successful applicant, you will liaise with and establish effective relationships with key stakeholders, including the Public Sector Commission, Corruption and Crime Commission, WA Police Force, Department of Communities, Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia and the Ombudsman.

You will also be required to achieve project outcomes and provide high quality customer service and undertake purchasing, budget analysis and projection and reporting on expenditure as well as providing administration support to the assessment team.
