Who are we looking for?
Our Water Group in South Australia delivers innovative water and wastewater infrastructure projects and solutions for our key Clients across the municipal, energy and resources, transport, defence and property and building sectors.

With the recent re-appointment on the SA Water Engineering Services Panel, GHD have a strong pipeline of work ahead in water and wastewater infrastructure, systems planning, process and dams projects and are therefore seeking a driven and passionate Water Engineer, eager for the next step in their careerto join our local team and the opportunity to help shape South Australia's water future.

Bringing an appetite for building and maintaining strong client relationships, you will utilise your expertise to help us support the delivery of critical water and wastewater infrastructure to South Australia's growing community, helping expand access to essential services for future generations.

You'll have a balance of technical work and design management and support the continued growth of our team's hydraulic modelling and design capabilities.

Our position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Undertaking hydraulic modelling and design services for water and wastewater systems for projects in both SA and Australia-wide.
• Use your technical, project management and client relationship skills to lead the technical delivery of small and medium projects and make a valued contribution as part of a dynamic inter-disciplinary team on major projects.
• Understanding client and project technical requirements, assisting in developing solutions, and preparation of technical reports, designs & specifications, client proposals and presentations.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, including business development, and engagement throughout project delivery.

What will you bring to the team?

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering, coupled with 5+ years' experience that includes the development and review of hydraulic models associated with water and wastewater networks.
• Eligible to be a Professional Member of Engineers Australia
• Experience working with contractors in a D&C arrangement is desirable
• Exposure to water and wastewater hydraulic modelling tools (Bentley OpenFlows Water & Innovyze Infoworks ICM).
• The ability to lead and/or work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team across the project lifecycle
• Strong client relationship skills, project management skills, and experience in preparing winning proposals.
• For the right candidate, we will consider a part-time appointment (minimum of 0.8 FTE).
