About the role

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Casual Receptionist to join our team at the Belconnen Way Hotel in Hawker ACT In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for delivering a warm welcome to guests on arrival as well as assisting guests during their stay. We are looking for someone who is available roughly 15 hours per week for a variety of AM/PM weekend shifts as well as some week night shifts. IMMEDIATE START

What you'll be doing

  • Greet and register guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in/check-out process
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to guest inquiries in a friendly and professional manner
  • Process payments, handle cash and complete other administrative tasks as required
  • Provide recommendations on local attractions, dining options and other concierge services
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
  • Assist with any other duties as required to ensure a positive guest experience

What we're looking for

  • Reliable, hardworking, punctual and professional
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a hotel or resort setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure and work individually or as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the availability to work early mornings, nights, weekends and public holidays
  • An enthusiastic and positive attitude, with a commitment to exceeding guest expectations
