What You'll Be Doing:
As our Communications Officer, you'll play a key role in shaping how Council connects with the community.
- Develop and implement engaging communication campaigns for Council initiatives and projects.
- Create compelling content including media releases, advertisements, social media posts, website updates, and promotional materials.
- Curate and moderate Council's social media platforms, responding to enquiries and fostering community engagement.
- Monitor public sentiment and feedback through media and engagement channels, providing insights to inform Council communications.
What You'll Need:
- A current Australian Driver's Licence and ability to maintain.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
- A knack for creativity and innovation, with experience in digital platforms and content creation.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to community-focused service and integrity.

This is a full-time position classified at Grade C, Entry Level under Council's current salary structure with a salary range based on qualifications and experience from $61,880.91 & $69,649.03, plus 12% statutory superannuation and a 70-hour 9-day fortnight. Conditions are in accordance with Local Government (State) Award 2023.
