Infrastructure Engineer – Network Project Escalation Lead

Location
: Hybrid (Canberra-based)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to serve as the dedicated escalation point for our current Network Project. This critical role will act as the primary technical contact, providing expert guidance and resolution for complex issues across a range of Fortinet and Azure technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical escalations and provide expert troubleshooting for:

Fortinet SD-WAN

FortiGate Firewalls

Azure NVA deployments

FortiClient, FortiSASE, and FortiSandbox

  • Ensure timely resolution of technical challenges to maintain project momentum and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide strategic advice and technical clarity.
  • Support the successful deployment and ongoing operation of network infrastructure.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven Network Expertise in secure ICT environments, with hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Infrastructure, Fortinet product suite (SD-WAN, FortiGate, FortiClient, FortiSASE, FortiSandbox) and Azure NVA deployments
  • Exceptional Communication Skills – able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail – capable of producing high-quality technical documentation.
  • Network Mapping Proficiency – skilled in tracking data flows across network zones and cross-domain environments.
  • Microsoft Visio Expertise – adept at creating detailed network diagrams.
