About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Full-Time Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Melbourne hotel operations. This role is responsible for supervising the housekeeping team, ensuring the highest standard of cleanliness, room presentation, and service delivery across all guest rooms and public areas.

This is a full-time position rostered across 7 days, and requires flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays as needed, in line with hotel occupancy and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support the housekeeping team during daily operations
  • Conduct room inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with brand standards
  • Allocate daily tasks and monitor staff performance and productivity
  • Assist with onboarding and on-the-job training of new housekeeping staff
  • Help coordinate rosters and ensure adequate coverage across all shifts
  • Manage stock levels of linens, amenities and cleaning supplies
  • Report maintenance issues promptly and follow up on rectification
  • Ensure compliance with WHS policies and safe work practices
  • Uphold PHG's service culture and contribute to an excellent guest experience
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory role (hotel or serviced apartments preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication and people-management skills
  • High attention to detail and strong time-management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Understanding of WHS requirements and safe cleaning practices
  • Ability to train, motivate and guide team members
  • Professional, positive attitude and reliable work ethic
Availability Requirement (Important)

To be considered for this position, the successful candidate must have:

  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including:

  • Weekdays and weekends

  • Public holidays
  • Morning and afternoon shifts as required by the operation

Penalty rates and conditions will apply in accordance with the Hospitality Industry (General) Award (HIGA).

Salary & Classification

This position is classified under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award – HIGA Level 4, with a full-time salary aligned to the award requirements, including applicable penalty rates and loadings.
