About the Role

We're seeking an organised and proactive Equipment Officer to take the lead in sourcing, managing, and tracking CFA's minor equipment. In this role, you'll work closely with districts, the State PPE&C Management Centre, the State Logistics Centre, and operational experts to ensure our members have the right gear when they need it.

In this role, you will manage CFA's minor equipment from planning and sourcing to delivery, maintenance and record keeping. You'll provide expert asset management advice, develop processes for monitoring, reporting and quality control and act as the main contact for equipment matters. Strong relationships with stakeholders will be key to ensuring clear communication, timely delivery, and effective risk management while maintaining equipment to the highest standard.

About You

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Tertiary qualifications in Asset Management or proven experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple assets and maintaining detailed and accurate equipment records including maintenance data.
• Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders.
• Proven management skills that demonstrate the ability to effectively cooperate with stakeholders
• Advanced organisational skills within a complex environment and demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise multiple tasks and meet strict timelines.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial resources
• Demonstrated experience in conducting procurement activities in line with Victorian Government Purchasing Board framework.
