Tecside are seeking an experienced Engineering Production Manager with a strong background in fabrication and machining shop environments to join our client's team, an industrial engineering company based in the Illawarra region.

This role is suited to a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, jobbing workshop and has the ability to balance people, production, quality, and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scheduling of Work: Plan, prioritise, and coordinate multiple jobs simultaneously in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Resource Allocation: Assign the right people and equipment to the right jobs, adapting to changing priorities, absences, and capacity constraints while maintaining quality and output.
  • Timelines & Budgets: Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, managing delays proactively, minimising cost variances, and communicating effectively with clients when timelines are impacted.

About You

  • Proven experience in a fabrication and/or machining manufacturing workshop.
  • Minimum 5 years' senior management experience in a similar industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercially focused with the ability to drive profitable outcomes while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
