Laneway Talent is partnering with a leading
federal government agency
to recruit multiple Operations Engineers in the
Salesforce domain
across Australia. The ability to obtain a Baseline Clearence, therefore
Australian Citizens Only
will be eligible for these roles.

The roles will initially be on a 12-month contract and a possibility to extend for another 12 months.

The Role

As an Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in the Salesforce Environment Operations team, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of Salesforce platforms across development, test, and production environments. You will oversee deployments, monitor platform health, troubleshoot environment related issues, and work closely with developers, administrators, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, enterprise-scale solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Salesforce environments across development, test, staging, and production.
  • Execute scheduled and ad-hoc sandbox refreshes and synchronisation activities.
  • Conduct daily health checks, monitor integrations, and maintain dashboards.
  • Oversee deployments using CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Copado, Gearset, or AutoRABIT.
  • Perform validation, smoke testing, and rollback procedures as required.
  • Provision test users, manage access permissions, and support test data cycles.
  • Process environment support requests in line with SLAs and escalate issues as needed.
  • Maintain documentation, runbooks, and environment configuration records.
  • Support incident response, problem management, and audit compliance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by documenting processes and supporting automation initiatives.

Your Impact

  • Salesforce Administrator and Omnistudio Consultant certifications.
  • Experience with Salesforce deployment tools (Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT).
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, New Relic, Datadog).
  • Proven background in environment operations including triage, troubleshooting, resolution, and escalation.
  • Experience working in government or large enterprise environments.
  • Understanding of API integrations and enterprise system connectivity.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
