Procurement & Contracts Officer (Learning & Development)

Contract for 7 months | Brisbane CBD | AO5 equivalent: $ superannuation

We're working with a leading Queensland government client to recruit experienced  Procurement & Contracts Officer (Learning & Development). In this role you will undertake activities that are predominately focused on Learning and Development procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide and assist in the delivery of quality procurement advice and services for planning activities, including sourcing documentation development, tender release, evaluation processes, and contract negotiation.
  • Advise branch staff and stakeholders (with a specific focus on Learning and Development) on State and agency procurement policies, internal processes, and templates.
  • Assist in the preparation of briefing notes for approval by senior and executive level management.
  • Assist the business in undertaking general goods and services procurement activities and developing corresponding evaluation plans.
  • Assist stakeholders with writing specifications and determining suitable strategies to ensure effective delivery of services and value for money.
  • Manage and administer contracts from formation through to completion.

What we're looking for?

  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in the application of the Queensland Procurement Policy and all related policies and procedures.
  • Direct experience in Queensland Government Learning and Development procurement activities.
  • Proven experience in developing Queensland Government Request for Quotes, Tenders, and Contracts, including all associated documentation.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the use of the SAP financial system.
  • Experience in undertaking operational procurement activities.
  • High level of communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder management and briefing note preparation.
  • Proven ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines, coupled with strong organizational and time management skills.
