  • Role title: Alcohol and Drug Service Community Outpatient Manager

  • Role type:  Maximum-Term Full-Time – Maternity Leave Backfill (until February 2027)

About the role

  • Lead a diverse multidisciplinary team across Stimulant Services, ADS–Outpatient, Burton Street Centre Youth Service and Assertive Community Management teams.

  • Drive innovative, client-centred care and oversee day-to-day operations to meet quality, financial and performance targets.

  • Shape new models of care and champion quality improvement across St Vincent's Alcohol and Drug Service.

  • Represent ADS at key committees and sector forums to influence service delivery and policy direction.

  • Make a real difference in the lives of people affected by alcohol and drug use while delivering on our Mission objectives.

About you

  • Qualified & experienced – tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline (or equivalent experience) with deep knowledge of drug and alcohol policy, treatment and harm-minimization approaches.

  • Proven leader – strong track record managing and motivating multi-disciplinary teams, driving day-to-day operations and quality improvement projects.

  • Clinical insight & innovation – experience in contemporary drug and alcohol treatment, including counselling, brief interventions and pharmacotherapy, and contributing to policy and service development.

  • Excellent communicator – confident negotiator with outstanding written and verbal communication skills, able to build relationships with patients, staff and external stakeholders.

  • Organized & adaptable – exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing workloads in a complex, fast-paced environment.
