About the Opportunity
At Metcash, we're not just supporting independent retailers - we're transforming the way they connect with their customers. As our Loyalty Performance Manager, you'll be the engine behind our digital loyalty programs, driving smarter, sharper, and more personalised shopper experiences.
You'll lead the charge in optimising performance across our digital channels, working with passionate teams to deliver the right offers to the right people at the perfect moment. Your work will directly impact sales, supplier partnerships, and customer loyalty across the country. In this Role
- Lead and support a high-performing team, ensuring all deliverables are met to the highest standard and aligned with business goals
- Collaborate with the Retail Media Network and Merchandise teams to deliver compelling shopper offers, enhance loyalty mechanics, and create relevant, engaging customer experiences
- Respond to performance insights by planning and executing additional activity based on shopper behaviour, segmentation shifts, and sales trends
- Partner with key stakeholders - including Digital Campaigns, Conversion & Reporting, Loyalty Execution, and Planning Managers to bring multi-channel campaign strategies to life
- Leverage our Customer Data Platform (CDP), Campaign Execution Manager (CEM), and Email Service Providers (ESPs) to ensure accurate customer targeting, campaign scheduling, and seamless delivery
- Work closely with Engineering teams to drive product enhancements, feature iterations, and the development of robust attribute and event modelling
- Transform data into actionable insights, using shopper behaviour, purchase frequency, and lifetime value to inform campaign planning and continuous improvement
- Champion compliance and best practices, ensuring all campaigns and data usage align with the Spam Act, Privacy Act, and Australian Privacy Principles
You're Likely a Match If
- 7+ years' experience in digital journey or loyalty roles, with a strong focus on delivering impactful loyalty initiatives
- Proven track record of driving return on investment through data-led marketing and loyalty campaigns
- Advanced knowledge of campaign management platforms, with hands-on experience using tools like Customer Data Platforms (CDP's), Customer Engagement Platforms (e.g., Braze), and ESPs
- Proficiency in SQL and the ability to interpret campaign performance data to inform strategy and optimisation
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across cross-functional teams
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, with 3+ years in a people management role
- Working knowledge of HTML, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Segment, enabling effective collaboration with design and technical teams
- Exceptional planning, attention to detail, and communication skills, ensuring seamless execution of complex, multi-channel campaigns
