As the Head Cook, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, leading a small team of cooks to deliver consistently high-quality dishes in line with our modern Asian concept. You will play a key role in menu development, seasonal changes, and will also have the opportunity to showcase your creativity with your own weekly special. This role also includes responsibilities in ordering, stock rotation, waste management, and ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards are upheld at all times.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a commercial kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of modern Asian cuisine and a passion for culinary innovation.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety, stock management, and kitchen operations.
  • Experience with menu development, costing, and seasonal planning.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Creativity and confidence to develop weekly specials that align with the café's brand.
