About the role

HDT Chartered Accountants are seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to join their team in Busselton, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential bookkeeping support to our business clients and assisting with taxation lodgements and administrative support. The role is flexible regarding working days (Monday-Friday) and ideally suited to a full time equivalent.

Please note that the salary range shown above is a full-time equivalent salary.

What you'll be doing

  • Reconciling bank transactions for clients using Xero and MYOB
  • Preparing Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
  • Assisting with tax preparation and compliance
  • Providing excellent customer service to our clients
  • Providing support to the accounting team as required
  • Assisting with general administrative support duties as needed

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role is preferable, especially if within a small practice or professional services environment
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and software (e.g. MYOB, Xero)
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure when deadlines arise
