Your roleAs a Firmware Engineer , you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating firmware for embedded electronic systems. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client requirements and timelines.
You will play a key role in:
- Developing firmware for embedded systems (bare metal, RTOS, microcontrollers).
- Designing firmware architecture and implementing within IDEs or command-line tools.
- Collaborating with hardware and software teams to integrate systems.
- Applying version control workflows and maintaining documentation.
- Participating in product development cycles (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Assessing project risks and managing de-risking processes.
- Driving product delivery from concept to market.
We're looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and a consulting mindset. Ideally, you'll bring:
- A degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded firmware development.
- Experience with microcontroller-based systems, including STM32 and nRF5.
- Familiarity with RTOS environments such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS.
- Exposure to Unix-like systems (Ubuntu, Yocto) and DTS.
- Knowledge of wireless protocols (Bluetooth, LTE, WiFi).
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python.
- Experience integrating hardware and software systems.
- Understanding of product development workflows and risk management.
- Experience in regulated environments (IEC62304, ISO13485:2016).
