About the role

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Maintenance Technicians to join our team at MARTYN MINING SERVICES' FIFO Perth, Goldfields Region Western Australia. This is a full time position responsible for the maintenance and repair of our state-of-the-art drill rigs and supporting mining fleet, with a particular focus on the Sandvik DP1500i model. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our mining equipment, contributing to the overall productivity and success of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on drill rigs and support mining equipment , including the Sandvik DP1500i top-hammer drill rig.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and implement effective repair solutions
  3. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities
  4. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure optimal performance and uptime of the equipment
  5. Comply with all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
  6. Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians as required

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician in the mining industry
  2. Demonstrated experience in the maintenance and repair of drill rigs, with a strong preference for Sandvik DP1500i experience
  3. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics
  4. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  5. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  7. Relevant trade qualifications or certifications
