Support Worker – Night Shifts | Personal Care Focus

Opportunity:
We're seeking dedicated and compassionate Casual Support Workers who are looking to challenge themselves and build on their skills and knowledge. We are seeking candidates who have a strong focus on personal care with flexible availability to cover a variety of shifts including but not limited to overnight shifts. This role provides a variety of support services including personal care, domestic and lifestyle support, and community inclusion, all guided by the participant's individual NDIS support plan.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support that enhances independence, encourages participation, and aligns with individual goals.
- Deliver culturally appropriate support that respects the diversity of participants.
- Take direction from the person being supported, their family, and EPIC's Client Coordinator.
- Maintain professionalism and positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Accurately complete documentation, including case notes and incident reports, using EPIC's systems.
- Assist with personal care and daily living tasks, particularly during night-time hours.
- Perform other duties as required by your manager.
Essential
- Current First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain within three months)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain)
- WA "C" class driver's licence (or overseas equivalent with valid temporary visa)
- Working with Children Check (mandatory)
- Availability for night shifts and sleepovers
- Demonstrated respect for people with disability and commitment to inclusion
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively
- Experience using digital rostering systems
- Willingness to work across a variety of shifts, including weekends and after-hours
Desirable
- Previous experience providing personal care
- Experience supporting people with disability (formally or informally)
- Experience working with children
- Complex care experience (e.g. PEG feeding, fluids, puree diets)
- Manual handling experience or qualification
- Knowledge of NDIS Quality and Safeguards
- Certificate IV in Disability or Community Services
