We are seeking a motivated
Systems Engineer
to join a growing engineering team working across systems design, product integration, and stakeholder support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on with both the technical and collaborative aspects of engineering, while contributing to innovative solutions that meet client and business needs.

The Opportunity

As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in system design, product integration, testing, and commissioning of new equipment. You'll also be involved in new product introduction, working closely with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure smooth pilot-to-production transitions. Beyond technical delivery, you will support tenders, develop specifications, and provide input into system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver system design and product integration activities, including support for testing and commissioning.
  • Support new product introduction by working with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop system solutions to meet client requirements (e.g. solar sizing, interfaces, electrical parameters).
  • Maintain and improve existing systems by identifying and resolving defects.
  • Contribute technical expertise during tenders and proposals.
  • Create and maintain technical specifications, test plans, and operational documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, production teams, quality, and project managers to meet objectives.
  • Stay current with industry standards and regulations (e.g. FAA, ICAO, IALA).
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities across engineering processes.
  • Occasionally travel to client sites or global offices as required.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, with eligibility for registration under the Victorian Professional Engineers Act.
  • 3+ years' experience in systems engineering or a similar role.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end product or project design.
  • Ability to interpret electronic and mechanical documentation.
  • Experience with 2D drafting packages.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Critical thinker, confident decision-maker, and resilient problem-solver.
