Relationship Manager

About The Role
The role for Relationship Manager is responsible for proactively managing a portfolio of customers through the delivery of outstanding customer service and demonstrating an understanding of the customers' needs. If applicable, it manages a team of Fleet Managers to respond to and action customer fleet management requests and further seek opportunities to maximise business renewal and organic growth.

Tasks And Responsibilities

• Maintain strong customer relationships and understanding of client needs. Regularly review all customers fleet through effective reporting and seek opportunities to reduce costs through increased fleet optimisation. Manage ongoing customer retention.
• If applicable, lead the team of Fleet Managers to proactively manage the portfolio of customers and deliver professional fleet management.
• Capture all business potential of clients and maximize client renewal while maximizing margins. Seek to up sell additional products and services and introduce initiatives to the client that will add value to the relationship.
• Take ownership of issue resolution ensuring contractual obligations and KPI's are measured, met and exceeded. Be the first point of escalation customer issue escalation both externally and internally.
• Conduct a regular structured customer visitation program, ensuring productive relationships are fostered and maintained with key decision makers.
• Regularly review all customers fleet through effective reporting and seek opportunities to reduce costs through increased fleet optimisation. Manage ongoing customer retention.
• Provide ongoing customer reporting as required. Oversee the preparation of and delivery customer reviews in line with SG Fleet standards and support the preparation of review information.
• Demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of SG Fleet systems and support the training of Fleet Management team in these systems.
• Build rapport and by understanding client needs seek opportunities for revenue growth including fee uplift. Where applicable, introduce and maintain a "client strategy" document for each client.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Tertiary qualification in a business-related discipline is desirable.
• Experience in building and maintaining relationships at senior corporate level.
• Ability to effectively manage relationships, deliver clear succinct messages supported by evidence.
• Superior communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• High level of IT proficiency including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• High level numeracy skills with ability to understand complex finance / taxation concepts.
• Comprehensive and up to date understanding of the Australian fleet management, FBT and salary packing environment.
• Strong understanding of the car industry.
• Demonstrated initiative, problem solving, patience, flexibility and co-cooperativeness.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Knowledge of fleet management products, services, systems and processes is ideal.
• Working knowledge of industry legislative, compliance and regulatory obligations
• Knowledge of organisational systems and processes
