About the role

Join the passionate team at Little Champions Child Care as a Float Lead Educator. In this full-time role, you will work closely with the NS and AP across the centre, providing high-quality care and education to children of all ages. As a Float Lead Educator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our teaching team, ensuring seamless coverage and consistent, nurturing experiences for the children in our care. Our centre is a small family-owned and operated service with a maximum of 16 children in the Toddler, Pre-Kindy and Kindy room and a maximum of 8 children in the Nursery.

What you'll be doing

  • Oversee the daily activities and routines within the centre, ensuring a safe, engaging and educational environment for all children
  • Develop and implement stimulating, age-appropriate learning programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Observe, document and assess children's development, and collaborate with the team to plan individualised learning experiences
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families and the wider community
  • Mentor and support junior educators, modelling best practice in early childhood education
  • Ensure the centre operates in compliance with all regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or actively working towards
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an early childhood educator, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care
  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Standards and the ability to implement them in practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • A passionate, nurturing approach and a genuine commitment to supporting the holistic development of young children
  • First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
