Old Kempton Distillery is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Representative with hospitality experience.
You will join our sales team with a primary focus on Tasmania while also providing support to the broader trade sales team. In addition to sales responsibilities, you will contribute to operations across our Cellar Door, Café, Salamanca Market, and at key events. This is a dynamic, customer-facing role that requires flexibility and collaboration with the entire Old Kempton team.
Your roster will predominantly be from Tuesday to Saturday working a 38-hour week.
This is a rare opportunity to combine a love of hospitality with sales, representing one of Tasmania's most established distilleries.
About Us
Founded in 2012, Old Kempton Distillery produces premium small-batch single malt whisky, gin and liqueurs from our historic home, Dysart House, in Kempton. We welcome visitors daily for tours, tastings and dining, and showcase our spirits across Australia and internationally.
About the Role
The role will primarily focus on driving sales across the state, working with existing customers and identifying new sales opportunities. This is a diverse position working across multiple areas of the business representing the brand.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You will:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with trade customers across Tasmania
- Promote our spirits through tastings, events and activations
- Work at our Cellar Door, Café and Salamanca Market, delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Assist with events, tours, tastings and general administration
- Support the sales team with trade orders, logistics and reporting

About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Customer-focused with a friendly, professional personality
- Experienced in hospitality and/or beverage sales
- Well-organised with strong communication and administration skills
- Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Willing to learn, adaptable and self-motivated
- RSA certified (or willing to obtain) and holds a driver's licence
A genuine interest in whisky, spirits and Tasmanian produce will be highly regarded.
