One SMG in Adelaide With 18 businesses across Australasia, One SMG is a dynamic company on the move. Our network includes automotive and caravan dealerships, fleet management, leasing, collision repair centres and property. We're currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Adelaide team in a full time role. Skills and experience:

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Tertiary qualification of Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent
  • Organisational skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • Teamwork skills

The main purpose of the position is to:

  • Prepare tax statements and financial statements at required intervals.
  • Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies when required.
  • Liaising with suppliers and managing all outstanding issues.
  • Accounts reconciliations.
  • Month end procedures including BAS returns.
  • Payroll Tax processing.
  • Prepare job costing reported to managing director and divisional supervisor.
  • General accounting duties.
  • Closing monthly accounts, banking reconciliation and generating monthly financial reports.
  • Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Compute taxes owed and prepared tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
