Overview of the Strategic Sourcing Team:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team at the heart of Tag's sourcing function. The Strategic Sourcing team drives profitability, efficiency, and operational excellence across the Retail Activations network.

As part of this high-performing function, you will help design and implement scalable supply chain strategies that consolidate spend into a compliant, right-sized, and innovative vendor network aligned with business goals.

The team delivers sustainable savings, stronger partnerships, and innovation, while ensuring governance, responsibility, and sustainability remain central to how Tag creates lasting value for clients.

Role summary:

This role will suit a driven sourcing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment. In this role, you will lead sourcing strategy and supplier management across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring Tag delivers measurable value through commercial excellence, supplier innovation, and operational effectiveness.

The role offers the opportunity to influence regional strategy, build high-performing supplier partnerships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, profitability, and sustainable business growth across the ANZ region.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive sourcing strategy and execution to deliver measurable commercial value, innovation, and sustainable savings across Print, POSM, Packaging, and Premiums categories.
  • Lead supplier strategy, ensuring alignment with client needs and business objectives.
  • Strengthen supplier partnerships, driving engagement, performance, and value through structured SRM, KPIs, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage pricing tools including rate cards, calculators, catalogues, and commerce platforms to ensure transparency and competitiveness.
  • Partner with account teams, sourcing operations, and finance to support strategic projects and initiates.
  • Support strengthening data integrity and governance, partnering with Sourcing Operations to upskill teams and suppliers through training and capability building.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on tenders, pitches, and new business opportunities with compelling sourcing solutions and market insight.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sourcing team and category experts to deliver operational excellence.

Key skills & experience:

  • 10+ years' experience in strategic sourcing or procurement leadership.
  • Strong understanding of supplier ecosystems and manufacturing processes across Australia and New Zealand, with regional insight into Southeast Asia an advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at senior levels.
  • Collaborative leadership style with experience managing multi-market or cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of risk and compliance, sustainability, and social responsibility frameworks.
  • Proven commercial acumen and negotiation expertise.
