In the role of Associate Director, Strategic Design, you will join the Group Innovation team that is part of the broader Group Strategy & Development function that's focused on making a tangible difference to customers while keeping it simple.

Each day, you'll go above and beyond to:

• Work with colleagues across Group Innovation (and partner business units), to design and deliver strategically-genius, intuitive, distinctive, innovative experiences.
• Be a doer and a team player, combining in depth expertise and colleague skills development, helping raise the design bar with every proposition.
• Work cross functionally to ensure that great thinking lands in great execution.
• Bring expert ability to understand and balance complex commercial, technical and customer considerations and be able to inspire colleagues with new perspectives and opportunities.
• Story-tell and influence to shape communicating with all levels of the organisation.
• Support in the delivery of incredible innovations that delight customers and drive real business value.

We're looking for the brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You'll need:

• Extensive experience working as a strategic designer leading teams conceiving and bringing new propositions to life using human centred design methodologies
• The ability to apply strategic thinking to designs, e.g. leveraging technologies, business model innovation, market insights. Previous experience in a strategy role highly valued
• Deep capability and excellence across all design disciplines: Strategy, Design Research, Service Design, and Product UX/UI Design and an eye for detail
• An expert ability to generate insights and find unique opportunities by using design methodologies and broad knowledge of business to find the sweet-spot in commercial drivers, technical feasibility and acute human need.
• Experience working in a team that operates with agile methodologies, either in a start-up or corporate environment
• An ability to develop material for presenting to senior stakeholders, facilitate large group workshops, and build positive relationships with stakeholders outside of the team to influence toward outcomes
• Structured problem identification, problem solving, applying analytical skills, evidence-based decision making and human-centred design thinking
• An ability to plan, and facilitate design sprints
• An ability to coach others in human centred design
• Experience with design or creative skills and tools like Figma.
