The Role

As a Plant Operator, you'll be an integral part of our piling and construction crews, taking on both machine operation and site-based labouring duties. You'll work hands-on with site preparation, piling installations, and construction support while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

This role combines operating plant and equipment with assisting in general site duties — perfect for someone who thrives on variety and teamwork.

Essential Qualifications

• NSW Driver's Licence
• General Induction for Construction (White Card)
• Statement of Attainment: Excavator

Highly Regarded

• Dogging or Rigging tickets
• HR Truck Licence
• First Aid Certificate
• Statement of Attainment: Skidsteer
• Previous experience working with piling equipment & cranes

Skills & Attributes

• Operate excavators and other plant and machinery on requirement
• Demonstrated skills & knowledge on routine maintenance & upkeep of all types of machinery
• Flexibility to step into labouring tasks — from loading/unloading materials & site clean-up to concrete pours
• Strong work ethic, professionalism, and adaptability
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of HSEQ requirements and commitment to safe practices
• Desire to learn, contribute, and uphold Milleen's values

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating plant and machinery within piling and civil crews
• Carrying out trenching, footings, detailed excavation, and levelling to specification
• Assisting concrete crews with placement, screeding, finishing, and formwork support
• Loading/unloading trucks and delivering materials & equipment
• Setting out, marking out, and preparing sites for piling and excavation works
• Performing preventative maintenance and reporting issues on plant & equipment

• Ensuring compliance with site safety and environmental standards
