What you'll do

As a
Volunteer Programs Coordinator
, you'll:

  • Coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing support of volunteers in line with genU's Volunteer Engagement Framework.
  • Match volunteers to roles that suit their skills, interests, and goals.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and community partners to grow and promote volunteering opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on program performance, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Celebrate and recognise volunteers for the amazing work they do

What you'll bring

As a Volunteer Programs Coordinator you'll bring:

  • Great people skills – you can engage, motivate, and support a diverse range of volunteers.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a genuine passion for community and inclusion.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience or qualifications in human resources, allied health, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the Australian National Standards for Volunteer Involvement.
  • Experience using volunteer management systems such as Carelink Plus or Better Impact.
