Female Disability Support Worker – Ongoing Shifts | Client with Spinal Cord Injury

Location: Blacktown

Employment Type: Casual, ongoing shifts

About the Role:

We're looking for a reliable and experienced FEMALE Disability Support Worker to join our team and support our client, who has a spinal cord injury and uses a wheelchair.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, respectful, and confident in providing personal and complex care supports, with strong communication skills and fluency in English.

Shift:

  • Mondays & Tuesdays: 7:30am – 10:30am and 12:00pm – 2:00pm
  • Fridays: 9:00pm – 11:00pm
  • Saturdays: 9:00pm – 11:00pm

These shifts are ongoing and regular.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Peristeen bowel care (training provided by client's RN)
  • Catheter care
  • Personal care: showering, grooming, drying, dressing
  • Domestic assistance: light cleaning and meal preparation
  • Community access: accompanying client to the grocery store and outings

Requirements:

  • MUST have own car and Comprehensive Car insurance
  • Experience with bowel care (essential)
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Working with Children Check - Employee

Pay Rates

E3.1 (Casual in home and SIL)

SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):

  • Base hourly rate: $35.15
  • Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $38.67
  • Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $39.37
  • Saturday: $49.21
  • Sunday: $63.27
  • Public holiday: $77.33
