About the Role

As a valued member of our team, you'll provide person-centred, empowering support to individuals living with disability — helping them achieve their goals, maintain their independence, and live fulfilling lives.

You'll work with participants who may have high physical needs, complex behaviours, or mental health challenges, providing care with compassion, respect, and professionalism.

Please note: Community support shifts start at 2 hours and may involve travelling between participants' homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and daily living support (e.g. showering, dressing, meal preparation).
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including use of hoists and other equipment.
  • Support clients to participate in community activities and build life skills.
  • Implement behaviour support and care plans using a trauma-informed approach.
  • Support participants with mental health and emotional well-being.
  • Monitor and document progress, behaviours, and changes in health.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and community inclusion.
  • Communicate effectively with families, health professionals, and your team.

What You'll Bring
  • Minimum Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care, or Community Services.
  • Availability: At least 15 hours per week between 6am–3pm (Mon–Fri). Sleepover shifts also available.
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours, autism, or mental health challenges.
  • Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and trauma-informed care.
  • Excellent communication, patience, and de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Compassionate, respectful, and reliable nature.

  • Active Australian Business Number (ABN) – as you will be engaged as an independent contractor
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Infection Control Certificate
  • Police Check
  • Smartphone with internet access
  • Driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle (preferred)
