About The OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Zone Delivery Lead to join our Hunter Class Frigate program
The Design Zone Delivery Lead will be responsible for driving successful and timely outcomes of engineering outputs and design review requirements. They will focus on cross functional integration, planning and driving issue resolution through relevant Engineering Managers across the HCF design teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving the Design Zone to completion and incorporating Mod Packs as required.
- Owning and managing the Design Zone Plan through the Zonal (Zx) reviews and onto Mod Pack Entry/Exit.
- Integration across Engineering Design teams, Supply Chain, Production and Chief Engineers Office to resolve and prevent issues impacting the delivery of the Design Zone outputs.
- Driving to completion all engineering deliverables to ensure a successful Zx reviews and Mod Pack Entry for given design zones.
- Development of a Design Zone Delivery Plan, inclusive of Mod Pack Scope, identification of Risks and mitigation actions.
- Management of Change of within their Design Zones, including assessment of the impact of change to the Design Zones and agreement of Change Embodiment timelines.
- Coordination with Engineering Managers across multiple functions to drive & facilitate resolution of technical issues.
About YOU
- Extensive engineering experience in a relevant discipline
- A university degree level engineering qualification in an appropriate discipline
- Demonstrated experience in development and execution of strategic plans relating to product and/or engineering development
- Strong leadership experience working with multi-discipline teams to delivery outcomes in accordance with the agreed plan
- The ability to engage effectively with customers, coach and provide guidance, and the ability to develop effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Proven ability to investigate and resolve issues, self-starter and able to work well autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment
