Are you a compassionate, experienced Support Worker who can bring both skill and personality to your role?

We're seeking a dedicated and reliable female Support Worker to join our Swansea team, providing high-intensity physical supports to an individual with a spinal cord injury (SCI) who's a car enthusiast and football fan.

Whether you're into cars, football, or both, you'll have no shortage of great conversation topics while providing support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care, including assistance with dressing, bathing, and grooming.
  • Carry out mobility transfers safely and efficiently.
  • Support with inactive sleepover shifts (Sunday 9pm - 9:30am).
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding when required.
  • Provide companionship and support with hobbies and interests, such as cars and football.

Shift Timings: Monday to Sunday

  • 5am - 9:15am
  • 4:45pm - 9pm + Sleepover

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Complex Bowel Support
  • Mobility Support
  • Manual Handling
  • Spinal Injury Experience
  • Catheter carer

Required Licences/Credentials

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid driver's licence and vehicle with comprehensive insurance - mandatory
  • NSW Working With Children - Employee
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check - Employee
  • Completion of NDIS Quality, Safety, and You module

Pay Rates

E3.1 (Casual in home and SIL)

SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):

  • Base hourly rate: $35.15
  • Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $38.67
  • Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $39.37
  • Saturday: $49.21
  • Sunday: $63.27
  • Public holiday: $77.33
