Join Our Team – Disability Support Workers (Central Coast, Immediate Start)
Make a Real Impact – Build Capacity, Empower Lives
At United Supports, we do things differently. We go beyond basic care to truly understand our participants and advocate for their rights, choice, and control. We're committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support – and we're looking for team members who feel the same.
We are currently recruiting motivated, reliable, and flexible Disability Support Workers to join our growing community access and supported independant living team across the Central Coast.
Why Work With Us?
- Competitive Pay – Reflective of your experience and qualifications
- Meaningful Work – Empower people to live independently and reach their goals
- Ongoing Training – We invest in your growth, skill development, and supervision
- Supportive Culture – Friendly team, real leadership, and a no-BS approach
Your Role Will Involve:
- Personal care (showering, dressing, medication support)
- Daily living assistance (meal preparation, shopping, domestic tasks)
- Community access (appointments, social outings, transport)
- Capacity building (goal setting and progress)
- Working a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and sleepover shifts.
- Implementing and following care plans – including mealtime management, behaviour support, and chronic health needs
- Documenting accurate case notes and building respectful, professional relationships
- Supporting participants to build their skills, confidence, and capacity
- Providing high-quality support to participants in the community and/or a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment.
What We're Looking For:
- People who are passionate about supporting individuals to thrive – not just 'do the job'
- A team player who's open to feedback, eager to learn, and willing to contribute and lend a helping hand when needed
- A high standard of professionalism, communication, and integrity
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and sleepover shifts as well as fill in for the team where required
- High attention to detail with documentation, case notes, following care plans and completing WHS tasks.
Desirable Skills and Requirements:
- Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) or similar – highly regarded
- Current First Aid & CPR
- WWCC and NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Driver's licence and roadworthy, comprehensive insured, accessible vehicle
- Experience with complex needs, behaviour support, and health plans is a plus
Note: This role is not suitable for those seeking low-effort work. We pride ourselves on a high standard of care – and we expect the same from every team member.
