About The Role
Activ Property Care, a genU company operates a landscaping and maintenance business which is contracted to Commercial Enterprises and various Government departments and provides meaningful work opportunities to people with disabilities. We provide a range of horticultural services completing gardening, grounds maintenance, landscaping and site clean-ups, for long-established high-profile customers in the lower west region of Bunbury.

As a Property Care Supervisor, you will lead through example and mentoring while working alongside a crew of people living with disability.

This is a permanent position on a
fixed term of minimum 12 months
, working full time hours Monday to Friday and will pay
$37.78
per hour (approx. $74,653 equivalent) + Salary Packaging benefits + Super.

Duties Include

  • Supervising and working with supported employees in gardening and grounds work for commercial contracts like mowing, pruning, weeding, whipper snipping, planting and leaf blowing.
  • Supporting employees in learning and developing skills that enable them to pursue their goals and aspirations.
  • Ensuring safe work practices including the operation of equipment.
  • Maintaining records on attendance, job sheets and machine maintenance.

What You Need

  • Great attitude towards working with people living with disabilities.
  • A strong work ethic and self motivation.
  • Happy to work in the great outdoors doing physical work.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • A passion for providing guidance and motivation and getting the best out of people.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety practices.
  • Current Western Australian licence essential - LR license highly regarded.
  • Being handy with tools, and having a horticulture, landscaping, gardening or trade background is considered beneficial, but not essential.
