As a premier luxury accommodation in the Margaret River Region, we are seeking a seasoned professional to join our vibrant team as a hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor.
This integral role involves liaising with all departments to ensure guest's needs are not only met but exceeded. Our team specialises in creating a bespoke experience where guests feel at home and welcomed within a stunning resort setting, all whilst seamlessly attending to all the 'behind the scenes' matters which maintain the smooth running of the resort.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our existing high-achieving team of Hospitality Professionals within Housekeeping.
Being supported by the Management Team, you will lead a team of housekeeping staff and be responsible for managing their performance and helping to drive productivity and standards of cleanliness. We are looking for somebody who can train and support our staff, in addition to, ensuring rooms are presented to guests at a premium level.
You will have a strong customer focus with a meticulous eye for detail to ensure our Villa's are cleaned and maintained to a high standard. You should also have the ability to work and communicate with other departments to ensure our guest needs are prioritised.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure rooms are cleaned efficiently and in accordance with established procedures.
• Inspect guest rooms to ensure they meet the resort and brand standards.
• Report any maintenance issues to the maintenance team.
• Ensure all rooms are ready for guest arrivals by the designated check- in time.
• Supervise, coordinate and support housekeeping team members during daily operations.
• Ensure cleanliness of public areas and the pool area is consistently maintained.
• Ensure all buggies, radios and work mobile phones are properly maintained and accounted for.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is well maintained.
• Complete necessary paperwork, including room and task allocations and clean sheets as required.
• Assist housekeeping manager with the training of new team members.
• Always respect guest privacy.
• Carry out other work direct by the Housekeeping Manager
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
We are not seeking someone to just check rooms; we are after someone who can lead our team and keep them motivated and engaged. You should be able to prioritise your workload and assist with the ongoing planning and operation of the department.
In addition, we are seeking somebody who:
- Has previous experience in motivating, leading and training housekeeping staff
- Has previously worked as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Co-Ordinator
- Has strong attention to detail
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Superior customer service skills along with the capability of working both autonomously and as part of a team.
- The flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
- Unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
- Has experience and a passion for training staff
- RMS PMS experience preferred but not necessary
- Experienced in Excel, preferred
- Like to have fun at work
