Role Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our facility. This role is essential to creating a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vacuuming: Thoroughly vacuum all carpeted and soft-floor areas, including stretching zones, climbing mats (surface vacuum), and common spaces.
  • Mopping: Sweep and mop all hard floor areas, ensuring surfaces are free from dust, chalk, and debris.
  • Equipment Cleaning: Wipe down and sanitise all gym equipment, including holds, weights, benches, and training areas, to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Bathrooms & Change Rooms: Clean and sanitise toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors, and tiled areas. Restock consumables such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Sanitising & Disinfecting: Regularly sanitise high-touch surfaces (e.g., door handles, counters, lockers, railings).
  • Bins & Rubbish Removal: Empty all bins throughout the facility, replace liners, and ensure rubbish is disposed of appropriately.
  • General Cleaning Duties: Dusting, wiping surfaces, glass cleaning, and ensuring all areas of the gym remain tidy and presentable.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Follow safe handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment. Report any hazards, damages, or maintenance needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience preferred (gym, hospitality, or commercial environment ideal).
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Availability outside peak gym hours (early mornings, late evenings, or as required).
  • Physically capable of performing cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, and using cleaning equipment.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $24.95 – $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
