Project Support Officer - AO4 (Contract Position)

We are seeking an experienced Project Support Officer (AO4 level) to join a busy project delivery team on a contract basis. This role provides high-level administrative and project support services, ensuring the smooth running of major initiatives and adherence to policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review a wide range of project documentation including briefing notes, reports, and submissions.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, risk management, and budget monitoring.
  • Coordinate and support key project activities such as stakeholder briefings, workshops, and team meetings.
  • Manage project correspondence, registers, and document control requirements.
  • Provide accurate project data analysis and performance reporting against key measures.
  • Support governance, procurement, HR, and finance-related project activities as required.
  • Promote continuous improvement and best practice project management support across the team.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Background in project support or coordination within government or large-scale infrastructure/complex projects.
  • Strong written communication and reporting skills.
  • High-level organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
  • Experience with project governance frameworks, procurement processes, or contract management.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, management, public administration or related discipline (desirable).
  • Current driver's licence.
