About the Role

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the successful candidate will assist with sample preparation and analysis, including AAS and XRF testing, while following laboratory procedures and maintaining a clean work environment.

Responsibilities include:

- prepare samples for analysis daily which include registration, splitting, crushing, pulverising and sizing in accordance with procedures;
- perform AAS and XRF analysis as per procedures;
- adhere to laboratory procedures;
- perform general housekeeping duties; and
- perform any other tasks as directed by the Laboratory Management Team.

About the Candidate

Must be able to work and communicate effectively within a shift-based team environment, including working on a shift roster 7 days on 7 days off, 7 nights on 7 nights off 12 hour shifts.

Candidate Requirements:

- strong adherence to safe work practices and actively participate in workplace safety;
- previous experience working in a laboratory and/or within the mining industry;
- the ideal candidate will already hold or be prepared to commence Cert III in Laboratory Skills; and
- good mathematical comprehension and computer literacy.
