The role

An exciting new role has just become available in the Operational Technology (OT) team, within the broader Digital and Transformation Group. Reporting to the Group Manager of Operational Technology, the Network Operations Centre (NOC) Manager is responsible for leading the delivery and support of real-time operational systems within South East Water.

This critical role will be accountable for leading the 24/7 operations of South East Water's network control centre, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of water and wastewater services across SEW's catchment area of approximately 1.8 million customers. This role oversees the monitoring, control, and optimisation of network performance through SCADA, telemetry, IoT, and digital systems, while leading a high-performing team of operators and technical specialists.

Who are you?

You're a seasoned operations leader ready to make an impact in the utilities or energy sector and have experience in leading high-performing teams.

In order to be considered, you'll require the following key skills, knowledge and experience:

  • 5–10 years' experience in operations management within utilities, energy, or critical infrastructure
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, IT, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong knowledge of SCADA, telemetry, IoT, or similar control systems
  • Proven leadership in managing 24/7 or shift-based teams
  • Experience in water industry operations and regulatory frameworks
  • Familiarity with digital transformation, predictive analytics, or smart infrastructure
  • Track record in incident management and emergency response
  • ITIL certification and an understanding of hydraulic systems
