About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Child Care Assistant Director to join our team at Kuraby, QLD. As the Assistant Director, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations of our state-of-the-art childcare facility, ensuring the highest standards of care, education and customer service are delivered to our families.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting the Centre Director in the overall management and leadership of the childcare centre
  • Supervising and supporting the childcare staff, providing guidance, training and mentorship
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant childcare regulations, policies and procedures
  • Fostering positive relationships with families and the local community
  • Implementing and evaluating educational programs that promote the holistic development of children
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Assisting with the recruitment, onboarding and performance management of childcare staff
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the centre's operations and services

What we're looking for

  • Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Minimum 1 year's experience as a qualified Childcare Educator or Assistant Director
  • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and relevant childcare regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families and staff
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and education
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Permanent residency or Australian citizenship required
  • Current Working with Children Check must be held at time of application
