Venue Manager

We are seeking an experienced, well-versed Venue Manager / Assistant Venue Manager to join JMS Hospitality & Management at one of our hotels in Melbourne's southeast.

The Pink Hill Hotel encompasses a large bistro, sports bar with TAB, multiple outdoor dining and drinking spaces and gaming. The hotel also has a state-of-the-art function and event space that can be configured to cater for many different events from small corporate conferences to large events. We are looking for a venue manager with a passion for hospitality and an eye for detail and with the head chef, managers & events team help maintain procedures and best practices.

We require the right candidate to have experience in all areas of a busy hotel. Responsibilities will include day to day running of the hotel, both front and back of house whilst maintaining a high level of service and leading by example with a hands-on approach.

The Venue manager will be required to liaise with management, security and other staff to ensure the smooth running of shifts in order to ensure high customer service expectations are achieved and kept up, along with a safe and inviting venue for patrons and staff. A high standard of communication, conduct, presentation and integrity along with work ethic is required.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A current Gaming License, RSG & RSA
• TAB Accreditation, AML & CTF
• A thorough understanding of gaming & wagering legislation and regulatory requirements
• Good understanding of food & beverage
• An understanding of hotel P/L's,
• Firm grasp on social media & trends
• Experience in managing, training and development of staff
• Ability to be flexible with all shifts including days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
