The Trade Confirmation and Settlements team in Macquarie Asset Management acts as the bridge between the trading desk and the market infrastructure, ensuring all trades are confirmed, settled, and recorded correctly, with minimal risk and maximum efficiency for Macquarie and it's customers

What role will you play?

As the Trade Confirmation and Settlements Manager, you will oversee the efficient processing of trade-related activities, ensuring the smooth operation of daily workflows of team leadership and collaboration with oversight of the Trade and Confirmations teams across the region, offering guidance, managing escalations and troubleshooting to ensure smooth business operations. You will also be responsible for reviewing reconciliations and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items as well as the regulatory monitoring of regulatory issues and ensuring adherence to compliance standards.

Additionally, you will act as a key liaison between internal and external stakeholders. Leveraging your strong communication and relationship management skills, you will foster effective partnerships while ensuring operational processes are executed efficiently and with minimal risk.

What you offer

  • 5+ years in a middle-office or operations role, with a proven track record of success
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire a team effectively
  • Strong understanding of asset classes, including domestic and international equity and fixed income security settlements
  • Familiarity with clearing and regulatory requirements for derivative instruments, including collateral management (VM and IM) and regulatory transaction reporting
  • A history of resolving complex issues, driving process improvements, and performing under pressure with enthusiasm and resilience
  • Experience with systems such as Omgeo CTM/Alert, BlackRock Aladdin, MarkitWire, ICELink, TradeServ, and DTCC GTR is highly regarded.
