Our Australian office is based in Sydney, and our team is passionate about our products and our customers. We distribute our products through a network of dedicated BERNINA retailers around Australia, who have shared in our growth over the last 10 years. We are looking to continue our growth, and are looking for a well organised, passionate person based in Melbourne.

The Role

We are looking for an Area Manager to drive sales through our retailers in Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and Southern New South Wales

Key responsibilities include:

· Strategic planning; Prepare and implement business plans to continue market development and aiming to strengthen our market share in your areas.

· Working with our existing retail partners to ensure consumer satisfaction and increasing brand awareness and preference for BERNINA , Bernette and other products and services distributed by BERNINA Australia.

· Close co-operation with local independent BERNINA/bernette and other craft retailers, opinion leaders and show organisers.

· Working closely with our marketing and education teams to distribute information to our retail network.

· Growing our network of independent sewing retailers.

About You

Our ideal candidate has experience in the craft industry, in a sales or account management role.

Other skills you will possess include:

  • Experience in wholesale and retail, preferably in the craft industry.
  • A can-do attitude and flexibility as some weekend work is involved.
  • The willingness and ability to travel
  • Fortnightly travel is expected for this role.
  • Drivers licence and reliable vehicle
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • General understanding of craft, fashion, design and technology is a plus.
  • High integrity and values-driven
  • Australian work rights are required for this position.
