About your role

It's an exciting time to join our business as we continue to grow and transform. Following an internal promotion, we're looking for a Regulatory Affairs & Technical Officer to join our Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) team.

This role is based at our Head Office in Melbourne CBD, working within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. You'll play a key role in supporting product compliance and contributing to the governance of our company-wide chemicals product catalogue.

Your day-to-day will include the responsibilities below—but don't worry, we're not expecting you to be an expert in everything from day one

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards and relevant regulations (TGA, AICIS, FSANZ, scheduled drugs and poisons).
  • Maintain accurate technical product documentation, including Safety Data Sheets, and assist with audits.
  • Manage licenses and permits to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide technical and compliance advice to internal teams and customers.
  • Contribute to projects, business development, and new product introductions.
  • Collaborate with teams to achieve KPIs and maintain company certifications.

Who are we looking for?

  • Tertiary qualification in a science in Chemistry or Chemical engineering degree is preferable.
  • Previous experience in similar role within the chemical industry is prefererd.
  • Strong proficiency in IT systems, including SAP, SAP Hybris, Lotus Notes, and Power BI.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian chemical regulatory requirements, including dangerous goods, hazardous chemicals, TGA, FSANZ, AICIS, and scheduled drugs and poisons.
  • Familiarity with various regulatory schemes and authorities.
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems.
  • Advanced administrative and systems skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven capability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
